As you know, I am fascinated with change – individual and collective change.
What does it take to really change our direction in life? How do we learn to see the beliefs and sense of identity that keeps us from changing? How are we living into our values, what we truly find meaningful in life, when we change? Are our values preserved, refined or do they evolve? Why is it so hard to change?
And what happens in a life when you’ve made some choices that send you on a direction that ends up reshaping every area of your life to the point that some important parts of your life now feel alien to you, no longer feel safe and welcoming.
And so you silo those parts off, and live in a new world.
But then one day, you wake up to see that you’ve made an error, that you chose a path that is not what you thought it was, and that you need make a new choice.
But because you have reshaped your life and relationships so much, you are afraid to admit the mistake, and even more afraid that your old world has permanently moved on from you, rejected you, can no longer see you.
My guest , Rich Logis is a man who has lived such a path the last ten years.
He founded a non-profit Leaving MAGA for those have left MAGA and desire community, those who want to empower others to leave, and for those filled with doubt and remorse about being a member of MAGA but are afraid to leave.
If you have friends or family that you’re struggling to speak with about politics, check out Rich’s community, Leaving MAGA, that is here to support you, and if you are someone who has quietly quit or are contemplating leaving MAGA, Rich has lots of resources for you.
